All of these recent events are starting to seem like a parody.
The F.B.I. has officially confirmed that North Korea is responsible for the Sony data breach.
Now the "hackers" have made further demands:
"Now we want you never let the movie released, distributed or leaked in any form of, for instance, DVD or piracy." It reportedly went on to demand that, "everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately."
And more bad news. Paramount Studios orders planned screenings of Team America canceled allegedly so that they don't become targets of the North Korean regime!
"I find it ironic that fear is eliminating the possibility to tell stories that depict our ability to overcome fear."
There is still the possibility of the film being produced elsewhere in the future but for now it is dead.
